Tell us about your family.
My husband, Cole, and I met at Auburn and have been married since 2023. We have a baby girl named Nancy, who was born in November of 2025. She is a busy body!
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I love crafting, particularly quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking.
Favorite Birmingham restaurant?
I would say Surin of Thailand in Crestline Village!
Where did you go to school?
I graduated from Auburn University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. I received my doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Alabama in Birmingham. War Eagle and Go Blazers!
What made you want to be a PT?
I took a class in high school that allowed me to shadow various healthcare fields, including a physical therapist. I was amazed at the amount of time the therapist was able to spend with his client, and the relationship that was formed. Learning more about the field of PT itself, I appreciate the problem-solving aspect, as mobility impairments are multi-factoral and require an individualized approach.
What's your favorite aspect of being a PT?
I love forming relationships with each client and their families, improving quality of life and participation within their home and community!
What are your favorite resources for learning more about physical therapy?
For parents, I would suggest pathways.org, which has age appropriate information on milestones, toys, how to play, etc. For children with developmental delays, I would discuss with your therapist about developmentally appropriate movement and play.
My favorite resource as a clinician is the Pediatric American Physical Therapy Association, which has great evidence-based resources for various diagnoses, best practices, etc.
What's the one thing you wish parents knew about physical therapy?
I believe therapy extends beyond our time together. As therapists, we provide families with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to help their child practice new skills throughout their daily routines. Children learn best through repetition and play!
